Syn Serif is a variable typeface that ranges between the extremes of monospaced and proportionally spaced typefaces. The closer it gets to the extreme of the proportional typeface, the more clearly it breaks out of the homogeneous monospaced grid, and because of the thematic eruption, everything in the specimen focuses on volcanic eruptions.
